La Casa de François hotel is located in the village of San Agustin, 550km south of Bogota in the department of Huila. The hotel is just 200 meters from village on top of a small hill at 1,700m above sea level, and has panoramic views across the Andes towards the Purace and Solala volcanoes (4570m and 4300m).

You will stay in one of our unique, natural cabins (bamboo and wood construction, cob walls interspersed with bottles) spread out among the rolling grounds of an old coffee farm, surrounded by colourful gardens, coffee bushes and fruit trees. All cabins have balconies with hammocks so you can enjoy the peace and beauty of this unique location.

SAN AGUSTIN

San Agustín’s three archaeological parks have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. They contain hundreds of statues dating back to 3000 BC. The climate here is temperate and enjoyable all year round, with temperatures of between 15°C and 25°C. Busses will drop you off at a crossroads in the village called “cuatro vientos” and from there the hotel is a 15 minute uphill walk, or a brief taxi ride away.

Warning: Competition among hotels can be very high, and sadly in the past people have been told we no longer exist. This is not true!
